{"id":4058,"date":"2019-04-25T12:38:18","date_gmt":"2019-04-25T18:38:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/mmilner\/?p=4058"},"modified":"2019-04-25T13:58:13","modified_gmt":"2019-04-25T19:58:13","slug":"4058","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/mmilner\/2019\/04\/25\/4058\/","title":{"rendered":"STEM in Teacher Education: A Canadian Perspective"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I was very fortunate to be invited to be a part of an science education research panel at the University of Toronto <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oise.utoronto.ca\/smt\/resources\/panel-discussions\/\">Science Mathematics and Technology Centre.<\/a> The panel was organized by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oise.utoronto.ca\/smt\/people\/carol-ann-burke\/\">Dr. Carol-Ann Burke<\/a> and led by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oise.utoronto.ca\/smt\/people\/douglas-mcdougall\/\">Prof. Douglas McDougall<\/a> from OISE (Ontario Institute for Studies in Education). The panel challenged us to think about the following question: STEM in Teacher Education: A Canadian Perspective.
