My name is Matilda, and I am a University of British Columbia student. I am currently working towards my Bachelor of Arts in History, and I have a particular interest in Cold War history. I am sadly nearing the end of my degree and will finish at the end of 2022.
I was born in Toronto and have spent most of my life moving. I have been lucky enough to live in Jamaica, The Netherlands, Canada, the UAE and England. During my summers at university, I worked at The Kings Arms pub in London, starting as a barmaid and working my way up to bar supervisor, leading shifts and garnering more responsibility. I am currently very interested in pursuing a career in investor relations after meeting and learning from top investor relations officer, Janet Craig. However, I am also interested in a job in foreign relations and will further investigate the field. I hope to have a career where I can apply the communication and research skills I have learned throughout my time at UBC.
