Getting Started at MOA
So, where do you start? What’s important?
Useful links:
- UBC IT’s Self-Service
This site is used to make requests (aka ‘tickets’). You can also review your past tickets and look for updates.
Try to categorize your request so it automatically gets routed to the correct team. Don’t worry if you choose the wrong one. It will get routed on their end – it just might get delayed a bit … usually by no more than a day. - FASmail’s web interface
Access your personal mailbox on the Faculty And Staff Email servers from anywhere. It works with all browsers and devices.
No VPN is required to access this site. - UBC Software Licensing
Here you can “purchase” any software your CWL is entitled to. Most are actually free, this just ties the login to your CWL, however, some have departmental costs.
This includes Cisco AnyConnect, Office, Adobe, and many other titles. - Parking 10-Day multipack
If you parking on campus 3-days per week or less, then this is the most cost-effective choice.
This pack is only valid for Faculty and Staff.
FYI: this includes, but is not limited to, Rose Garden parkade, Fraser River Parkade, and Cecil Green Road (behind MOA)
