{"id":26,"date":"2024-08-13T14:19:39","date_gmt":"2024-08-13T21:19:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/moait\/?page_id=26"},"modified":"2024-08-13T14:19:39","modified_gmt":"2024-08-13T21:19:39","slug":"getting-started-at-moa","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/moait\/getting-started-at-moa\/","title":{"rendered":"Getting Started at MOA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So, where do you start? \u00a0What&#8217;s important?<\/p>\n<p>Useful links:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ubc.service-now.com\/selfservice\">UBC IT&#8217;s Self-Service<\/a><br \/>\nThis site is used to make requests (aka &#8216;tickets&#8217;). \u00a0You can also review your past tickets and look for updates.<br \/>\nTry to categorize your request so it automatically gets routed to the correct team. \u00a0Don&#8217;t worry if you choose the wrong one. \u00a0It will get routed on their end &#8211; it just might get delayed a bit &#8230; usually by no more than a day.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/mail.ubc.ca\/\">FASmail&#8217;s web interface<\/a><br \/>\nAccess your personal mailbox on the <strong>F<\/strong>aculty <strong>A<\/strong>nd <strong>S<\/strong>taff E<strong>mail<\/strong> servers from anywhere. \u00a0It works with all browsers and devices.<br \/>\nNo VPN is required to access this site.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/ubc.onthehub.com\">UBC Software Licensing<\/a><br \/>\nHere you can &#8220;purchase&#8221; any software your CWL is entitled to. \u00a0Most are actually free, this just ties the login to your CWL, however, some have departmental costs.<br \/>\nThis includes Cisco AnyConnect, Office, Adobe, and many other titles.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/parking.ubc.ca\/multipack-pass-faculty-and-staff\">Parking 10-Day multipack<\/a><br \/>\nIf you parking on campus 3-days per week or less, then this is the most cost-effective choice.<br \/>\nThis pack is only valid for Faculty and Staff.<br \/>\nFYI: this includes, but is not limited to, Rose Garden parkade, Fraser River Parkade, and Cecil Green Road (behind MOA)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So, where do you start? \u00a0What&#8217;s important?
