{"id":52,"date":"2018-10-21T08:52:27","date_gmt":"2018-10-21T15:52:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/moderndesign\/?page_id=52"},"modified":"2024-11-23T20:37:44","modified_gmt":"2024-11-24T03:37:44","slug":"the-frameless-interior-door","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/moderndesign\/modern-interior-doors-canada\/the-frameless-interior-door\/","title":{"rendered":"The Frameless Interior Door"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1><a href=\"https:\/\/flushwalldoors.com\">Frameless Interior Doors<\/a> &#8211; A Flush and Trimless Trend.<\/h1>\n<p>Modern Interior Doors that are totally frameless and trimless are in a world of their own.\u00a0 Currently less than 0.1% of all interior doors installed are <a href=\"https:\/\/flushwalldoors.com\/index.html\">frameless doors<\/a>.\u00a0 It seems that the traditional trimmed interior doors are here to stay because they are just so well known.\u00a0 Sad but true.\u00a0 When it comes to contemporary design, though, doors that have a hidden frame are oftentimes beneficial to minimalist architecture.\u00a0 I have listed my favorite door types below (with some explanatory words) and it might help people to know what is out there for renovations or new home builds.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-139\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/moderndesign\/files\/2024\/11\/Frameless-Doors-Design.png\" alt=\"Frameless Door USA\" width=\"155\" height=\"245\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/flushwalldoors.com\">Frameless Interior Doors<\/a><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>A type of Interior Door that is contemporary in nature and has an invisible frame when the door is installed in the home<\/li>\n<li>This type of Interior Door is also trimless which means it has no door casing<\/li>\n<li>It is a type of modern interior door with regular handles or sometimes &#8220;push-to-open door knobs&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>This type of <a href=\"https:\/\/flushwalldoors.com\/index.html\">concealed door frame<\/a> has a layer of drywall mud above the L=angle that connects frame and wall<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/flushwalldoors.com\">Trimless Interior Doors<\/a><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>An Interior Door that is modern in appearance and has no visible door frame after installation (realistically the same as a frameless door)<\/li>\n<li>Door Casing or Door Trim is not necessary in this type of modern door<\/li>\n<li>Door Handles can be standard levers or knobs<\/li>\n<li>There is drywall tape and mud connecting frame and wall with a layer of paint on top<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/flushwalldoors.com\">Flush Interior Doors<\/a><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Modern Interior Doors with a smooth, flush door panel that is uniform in appearance and 1 3\/8&#8243; or 1 3\/4&#8243; thick<\/li>\n<li>I is not necessarily a <a href=\"https:\/\/framelessdoors.ca\">frameless door<\/a> or really trimless but still a minimalist designed interior door<\/li>\n<li>Handles used are usually door levers or door knobs<\/li>\n<li>All <a href=\"https:\/\/flushwalldoors.com\/index.html\">hidden doors<\/a> and all <a href=\"https:\/\/flushwalldoors.com\/index.html\">concealed doors<\/a> are usually flush with the wall but not all flush doors are frameless<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>In which cities do we see the Frameless Interior Doors?<\/h2>\n<p>Below are a few example cities were Frameless Doors are most common.\u00a0 In a lot of cases they are more common in places with high real estate prices.\u00a0 Also, once the trend starts, people in the immediate surrounding area catch on to it and also buy and install these doors.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/framelessdoors.ca\">Frameless Interior Doors<\/a> San Francisco &#8211; beautiful West Coast City by the Ocean with very high real estate prices<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/flushwalldoors.com\/frameless-doors.html\">Frameless Interior Doors<\/a> New York &#8211; long standing history on the East Coast with some very modern architecture next to the old<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/flushwalldoors.com\/frameless-doors.html\">Frameless Interior Doors<\/a> Miami &#8211; Warm and Relaxing on the Atlantic near the Gulf Stream with a real growth atmosphere in recent years<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/moderninteriordoor.com\/frameless-doors.html\">Frameless Interior Doors<\/a> Boston &#8211; distinguished city with ties to our forefathers with a lot of sophisticated people leaning towards new modern design ideas<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/framelessdoors.ca\">Frameless Interior Doors<\/a> Los Angeles &#8211; hustle and bustle in a southern desert city with a lot of variety in design and some very expensive suburbs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Frameless Interior Doors &#8211; A Flush and Trimless Trend.
