Most of the articles are from Mongolian-language sources. As a non-native Mongolian speaker, I welcome comments on any mistakes, especially if I incorrectly translated ministry names or other governmental institutions. I am still tinkering with the formatting, but trust that the new layout is a big step forward.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b><i>Mining<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>The Mongolian Ministry of Mining <a href=\"http:\/\/politics.news.mn\/content\/145899.shtml\">signed a memorandum<\/a> with the French Geological Service on scientific and technological cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>Minister of Mines, D. Gankhuyag made an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mfa.gov.mn\/index.php?option=com_content&amp;view=article&amp;id=2457%3A2013-05-28-09-10-24&amp;catid=43%3A2009-12-20-21-55-03&amp;Itemid=62&amp;lang=mn\">official visit to Australia<\/a>. During this trip, he discussed scholarship agreements for Mongolian students to study in Australia.<\/p>\n<p>As Mongolia marked UN World Environment day, President Elbegdorj stressed Mongolia\u2019s potential <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mining.com\/mongolia-shakes-its-asias-mineral-state-reputation-pushes-renewables-14107\/\">as a source of wind power<\/a>, not just mineral resources.<\/p>\n<p>CSIS ran an article on <a href=\"http:\/\/csis.org\/blog\/china-gates-chinas-impact-mongolian-natural-resource-and-investment-policy\">China\u2019s impact on Mongolia\u2019s resource policies<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><b><i>\u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><i>Incidents<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Over the past several weeks, the E.U. has been investigating 5 counts of money laundering in Mongolia. One incident involved <a href=\"http:\/\/politics.news.mn\/content\/145616.shtml\">5 transfers of 201,000 euro<\/a> each to B. Davaadorj, Mongolia\u2019s ambassador to Germany.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b><i>Diplomacy<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Mongolia decided to <a href=\"http:\/\/politics.news.mn\/content\/145566.shtml\">open new consulates<\/a> in Jakarta, Pusan, and Hailar; plus, embassies in Brasilia, Kabul, Istanbul, and Bishkek.<\/p>\n<p>Robert Reid, Country Director of the Millennium Challenge Corporation, <a href=\"http:\/\/politics.news.mn\/content\/145842.shtml\">was awarded<\/a> the Mongolian presidential medal of friendship.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/politics.news.mn\/content\/145844.shtml\">Presidential Advisor, R. Bold, received Baatar Ochirov<\/a>, the Deputy of the Citizen\u2019s Council of the Republic of Kalmykia. They exchanged opinions on topics ranging from education and economic development to Oirat history.<\/p>\n<p>Minister of Foreign Affairs, L. Bold, <a href=\"http:\/\/politics.news.mn\/content\/146358.shtml\">met with<\/a> Adriana Poveda, at the Mongolian Consulate in Madrid.<\/p>\n<p>North Korea and Mongolia marked <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mfa.gov.mn\/index.php?option=com_content&amp;view=article&amp;id=2473%3A-----65---&amp;catid=43%3A2009-12-20-21-55-03&amp;Itemid=62&amp;lang=mn\">65 years of diplomatic relations<\/a>.<b><i>\u00a0<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Minister of Health<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mfa.gov.mn\/index.php?option=com_content&amp;view=article&amp;id=2456%3A2013-05-28-07-19-28&amp;catid=43%3A2009-12-20-21-55-03&amp;Itemid=62&amp;lang=mn\">, J. Amarsanaa, attended the WHO\u2019s 66<sup>th<\/sup> annual meeting<\/a> in Geneva.<\/p>\n<p>May 27-29, Vice Minister of Foreign Relations D. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mfa.gov.mn\/index.php?option=com_content&amp;view=article&amp;id=2458%3A2013-05-28-11-27-14&amp;catid=43%3A2009-12-20-21-55-03&amp;Itemid=62&amp;lang=mn\">Gankhuyag attended the Proliferation Security Initiative<\/a> meeting in Warsaw, Poland. During the meeting, D. Gankhuyag met separately with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mfa.gov.mn\/index.php?option=com_content&amp;view=article&amp;id=2464%3A2013-05-30-03-38-28&amp;catid=43%3A2009-12-20-21-55-03&amp;Itemid=62&amp;lang=mn\">Polish<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mfa.gov.mn\/index.php?option=com_content&amp;view=article&amp;id=2466%3A2013-05-31-06-17-23&amp;catid=43%3A2009-12-20-21-55-03&amp;Itemid=62&amp;lang=mn\">Belarusian representatives<\/a>, to discuss bilateral diplomatic and economic relations.<\/p>\n<p>Mongolia\u2019s Ambassador to the European Union, Kh. Davaadorj, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mfa.gov.mn\/index.php?option=com_content&amp;view=article&amp;id=2472%3A2013-06-03-06-59-00&amp;catid=43%3A2009-12-20-21-55-03&amp;Itemid=62&amp;lang=mn\">presented his credentials<\/a> to the President of the European Commission, Jose Manuel Barroso.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/cdmongolia.mn\/ulaanbaatar-declaration\/\">\u201cUlaanbaatar Declaration\u201d<\/a> announced at the 2013 Community of Democracies meeting has been <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mfa.gov.mn\/index.php?option=com_content&amp;view=article&amp;id=2475%3Al-r-----&amp;catid=43%3A2009-12-20-21-55-03&amp;Itemid=62&amp;lang=mn\">adopted by the UN<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b><i>Security<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Minister of Defence, D.
