The organization is focused on culture and the arts and was established by Japanese morin huur\/horse-head fiddle players and students.<\/p>\n<p>Mongolian President <a href=\"http:\/\/politics.news.mn\/content\/162965.shtml\">Elbegdorj is traveling in Southeast Asia<\/a> from November 18-29. The focus would seem to be on improving relations with Myanmar, Vietnam, and Singapore. His visit to Myanmar was particularly productive, with the release of a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mfa.gov.mn\/index.php?option=com_content&amp;view=article&amp;id=2891%3Ajoint-statement-between-the-republic-of-the-union-of-myanmar-and-mongolia&amp;catid=58%3A2009-12-20-23-32-18&amp;Itemid=64&amp;lang=mn\">joint statement (in English)<\/a>, delivered a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.president.mn\/eng\/newsCenter\/viewNews.php?newsId=1030\">speech at the University of Yangon<\/a>, and met with a number of officials in Naypyidaw. A detailed account of the itinerary can be found <a href=\"http:\/\/www.president.mn\/eng\/newsCenter\/index.php\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/politics.news.mn\/content\/162632.shtml\">5<sup>th<\/sup> Mongolian Investment Forum<\/a> was held in Hong Kong. With pending major investment reform in the country, investors are eager to (re)enter the Mongolian market.<\/p>\n<p><i><\/i><i>\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n<p><i>Central Asia<\/i><\/p>\n<p>The General Secretary for Administration of the Mongolian Parliament, <a href=\"http:\/\/politics.news.mn\/content\/162000.shtml\">B. Boldbaatar met with the organizer for the Eurasian division of the Revenue Watch Institute<\/a> to exchange views on the implementation of transparency initiatives from natural resource investments.<\/p>\n<p><i>Europe<\/i><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/politics.news.mn\/content\/162043.shtml\">political secretary of the Polish Ministry of Defense<\/a> made an official visit to Mongolia. Poland is looking to increase defense cooperation with Mongolia as part of NATO outreach activities. During the meeting with L. Bold, <a href=\"http:\/\/politics.news.mn\/content\/162163.shtml\">Poland was cited as a key third neighbor<\/a> for Mongolia in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>Mongolia\u2019s Ambassador to Great Britain, <a href=\"http:\/\/politics.news.mn\/content\/162181.shtml\">N. Tulga, was invited to an audience with the Queen<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>President of the European Commission, <a href=\"http:\/\/politics.news.mn\/content\/162410.shtml\">Jose Manuel Barrozo, made an official visit to Mongolia<\/a>. This is the highest-ranking visit from the E.U. to visit Mongolia. During the visit, he officially extended an <a href=\"http:\/\/politics.news.mn\/content\/162412.shtml\">invitation for Mongolia to join the GSP+ process<\/a>, which would allow Mongolia to pay lower duties on exports to the E.U.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><i>North America<\/i><\/p>\n<p>The Mongolian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, D. Gankhuyag, attended the ninth meeting of the <a href=\"http:\/\/politics.news.mn\/content\/162459.shtml\">United States-Mongolian consultation<\/a> process.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><i>Middle East and Africa<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Mongolia\u2019s secretary for security affairs consultation, <a href=\"http:\/\/politics.news.mn\/content\/162141.shtml\">Ts.
