One of my goals as a teacher is to push students to be creative, one way that I push them to do so is through projects. On this page you will find examples of outstanding projects that students have done for me in the past.
Student work 2018 (Contract at Princess Margaret Secondary, Surrey, BC, Canada)
Subject: Senior “Superfit” PE class
Unit: Circuit training
Project: Circuit creation project (makeup assignment for those who were not present to present a circuit with their groups)
Criteria: To create a circuit that is easy to follow without the guidance of a personal trainer, and focuses on one area of training (e.g. core, cardio, upper body, lower body, etc.)

Student work 2017 (Contract at Lynn Grove Academy, Gorleston, Norfolk, UK)
Subject: Year 7 History
Unit: Early Medieval Times
Project: Who were Villeins and what were their lives like?
Criteria: To create a board game that simulated the lives of Villeins
Above: This board game was highlighted due to it’s well thought out design. Student hand made a board game similar to Monopoly and went above and beyond what was expected in terms of quality produced. Game came in an actual box with a foldable board made from cardboard, along with well-written rules, property cards, money, and dice.
Subject: Year 9 History
Unit: WWI
Project: WWI research project
Criteria: Students had a choice on different ways to present things relevant to WWI (e.g. re-creation of trench warfare, research any family members that were in WWI, Visit a war museum and highlight different exhibits/critique the information in the exhibits, etc.)

Subject: Social Studies 9
Unit: British Industrial Revolution/Victorian Era
Project: History of inventions invented during the British Industrial Revolution
Criteria: To research the history of an invention from the British Industrial Revolution and show how it has progressed into the 20th/21st Century
