Over many years working in different industries before deciding to become a teacher, I have gained many skills and abilities that will assist me in my future teaching career and benefit my students. Three places and positions of employment worth highlighting are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">\u00a0Team leader and\u00a0 boat assembler at Zodiac Hurricane<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Self employed custom cabinet installer<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Sales associate at Home Depot<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Some of my non-tech personal interests include:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li>Sports<\/li>\n<li>War history<\/li>\n<li>Geography<\/li>\n<li>Weather<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Some hobbies I enjoy include:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: left;\">\n<li>Camping<\/li>\n<li>Soccer<\/li>\n<li>Hiking<\/li>\n<li>Hunting<\/li>\n<li>Cooking<\/li>\n<li>Gardening<\/li>\n<li>Making Halloween costumes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">As for my specialties in technology education, I feel confident in my knowledge of the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Automotive<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Power and Alternative Technology<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Woodworking<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Metal and Welding<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Drafting and CAD<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Electronics<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Coding<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I am currently working towards my Bachelors of Education, specializing in technology education, at the University of British Columbia and previously at British Columbia Institute of Technology.
