Often we like to think of ourselves as the scientist who runs mice through a maze for a small piece of cheese. But more often people argue that Computers and more important personal computers are the greatest human trap ever invented. Talk about how technology is shaped by the creators in your novels, and think about how that technology controls us. A good question to start with is: how long can I go without looking at my phone?
