My experience at Woodlands school was the first time I had been involved in an elementary school and was good challenge for me to further progress myself as a teacher. The different behaviour management techniques required from an elementary teacher I believe helped me grow as an overall educator. The ability to calmly deal with problems that your students may be having is something I really focused on and is a skill that is easily transferable to secondary school. Throughout my time with Woodlands, I was able to help organize an assembly through collaboration with another teacher as well as participate in parent teacher conferences. These have both helped me in my development as a teacher and were new experiences that I had previously not had. I believe I have grown a great deal through my time with the school and believe that working in elementary school will help me become a more well rounded educator.
