15 minutes: go to this link and list on paper at least 4 skills you possess AND justify (how have you demonstrated this skill?). Remember: Your future job depends on skills –> accomplishments and experiences give you skills.

30 minutes: finish résumés. Move skills section so they’re at the top (below your name). Why do you think this is better than listing skills to the side?

10 minutes: Pretend you run a business and are hiring a student. Share résumés with each other. Which ones would you call back? Why?

Why should you have an up-to-date résumé this month: because you want a summer job, right!? You should be applying to summer jobs in May, which is only 20 days away!

If you finish before class ends:

You may use that time productively. Acceptable uses include:

-homework / studying for other classes

-reading and typing games (e.g., typing.com)

-building with KEVA blocks and LINCITY (http://lincity-ng.en.softonic.com/).

Unacceptable uses:

-playing online games which can’t be reasonably justified as educational

-facebook

-using phones
