There are a few areas I hope to improve throughout my teaching practice:

Forms of Assessment

During my practicum, I found myself constantly making formative assessment regarding student beaviour and abilities. However, when report card time arrived, I often relied on simple summative assessments and assignments accumulated throughout the unit.  I hope to learn more about utilizing formative and summative assessments in a proper balance. On a positive note, I was successful in creating student-created rubrics for poetry work, which encouraged risk-free and creative output.

Implementation of Technology

I made a strong effort to utilize technology everyday. I used my iPad and laptop for class slides and videos, and I also encouraged and taught proper online research skills through an inquiry based project on Ancient Greek Mythology. My use of technology was frequent enough to warrant my SA to order a new document viewer and projector.
