It’s been a week of frustration, inspiration and fun! It was not easy to immerse myself in a full week of learning after 13 long years of ‘break.’ However, the week-long Orientation gave me tons of food for thoughts about the 16-month journey ahead, my career and, more importantly, my life. It also gave me a big picture view of what I can do to survive, and how I can make most of the valuable experience.
It is a great honor to have an opportunity to learn from world-class professors who are truly dedicated to imparting expertise of their respective fields to avid students from around the world. It is also a great pleasure to study with such a diverse group of talented colleagues, who already demonstrated their excellence through their comments in classrooms. As was mentioned during the class, every one of them has a story tell, and my duty is to listen to it and learn from it.
Throughout the Orientation, I was reassured and confident that it was the right decision to take the Sauder MBA program and my life would be much different when I finish this journey, not only in terms of my career but also of every aspect of it. It is a big challenge but it is worth taking.
