{"id":163,"date":"2016-01-21T22:01:22","date_gmt":"2016-01-22T05:01:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/mslangille\/?p=163"},"modified":"2016-01-21T22:23:30","modified_gmt":"2016-01-22T05:23:30","slug":"ms-langille","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/mslangille\/ms-langille\/","title":{"rendered":"Ms. Langille"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hello!<\/p>\n<p>My name is Hannah or Ms. Langille.\u00a0 I am a teacher candidate studying in the\u00a0\u00a0Bachelor of Education Elementary Montessori program at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC.\u00a0\u00a0I grew up in Fredericton, New Brunswick and was in the French immersion program during my time in public school.\u00a0\u00a0I graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a Bachelor of Science in Marine and Plant Biology.\u00a0 I learned how to ski when I was very young and grew up ski racing in Atlantic Canada and so, after graduation\u00a0I moved to Revelstoke, BC\u00a0for its mountains\u00a0and lived with a family as their\u00a0live-in nanny.\u00a0 I enjoyed Revelstoke, its mountains and the community so much I decided to stay for three more years!\u00a0 I coached ski racing at Revelstoke Mountain Resort and worked for Community Connections Revelstoke Society as a Residential Care Worker.\u00a0 I worked with developmentally disabled adults and elderly people and facilitated their home life as well as their involvement in the Revelstoke community.<\/p>\n<p>I am currently placed at Maple Grove Elementary in two Montessori classrooms in grades 1-6.\u00a0 I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know my 50 students, my sponsored teachers and the community at Maple Grove.\u00a0 When I am not teaching or studying I enjoy skiing, white water rafting, hiking, mountain biking, baking, knitting and being in the mountains.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello!
