My name is Lina Wong and the picture above is of me from two years ago. I applied for the education program here at UBC at the time, but I was not accepted. I did not let that discourage me though. I spent an entire year volunteering at a high school in different class settings. This includes an ELL class, the GOLD (Gifted and Learning Disabled) program, the skills class, and out of school programs. I finally made it to the education program. At the time, I did not know how much I would change. This is my journey for the past year.
