{"id":35,"date":"2016-09-16T18:09:55","date_gmt":"2016-09-17T01:09:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/msmi\/?p=35"},"modified":"2016-09-16T18:09:55","modified_gmt":"2016-09-17T01:09:55","slug":"orientation-week-deux","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/msmi\/2016\/09\/16\/orientation-week-deux\/","title":{"rendered":"Orientation: Week Deux"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With the second, and final, week of orientations over for my cohort program, I can safely, but also wearily, say that I am ready to face the first case next week.<\/p>\n<p>During this week&#8217;s orientation, we learnt and tried out some classroom discussion practices (e.g. Think, Pair, Share) and did some fun and interesting lessons on particular subjects, which allowed as to get to know one\u00a0\u00a0another better at the same time. For example, there was the <em>name lesson<\/em>, which had us think what our names meant and where it came from. We later shared it with our group and came up with several themes that emerged from our stories.
