Theme Statement Paragraph: Leon Bridge’s music video for “The River”

DUE DATE: WEDNESDAY February 8th

You are to write a theme statement PARAGRAPH of at least 5 sentences defending a theme statement from Leon Bridges’ music video “The River”. You must connect your theme statements to at least 3 pieces of evidence found in the music video and/ or in the lyrics .

What I am looking for:

• Your knowledge and understanding of the text (music video/ lyrics) and theme
• Your ability to examine and evaluate the text (music video/ lyrics), effectively using the sources as evidence to support your theme statement claims.
• Your ability to clearly communicate your ideas in paragraph form.

This will be due at the beginning of class on WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 8TH preferably typed and double spaced (handwritten is acceptable if you have no access to a computer but typed is perferred).
