Here are some resources for guided silence or soothing background noises. (If you&#8217;re interested, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jstor.org\/stable\/10.1086\/665048\">here&#8217;s<\/a> some research on how ambient noise can improve creative cognition.)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.donothingfor2minutes.com\/\">Do Nothing for 2 Minutes<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; It might seem silly, but this can be excellent short-term anxiety relief.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/coffitivity.com\/\">Coffitivity<\/a> &#8211; Sounds of the coffee house.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mynoise.net\/noiseMachines.php\">My Noise<\/a>\u00a0&#8211; A huge, customizable selection of white and ambient noises. I love the Jungle Noise.<\/p>\n<p>Good old <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ZYwqKKc1VCQ&amp;list=TLWTclmQ3ZUdz_rqL5qW8xJiYjAdU2YuRQ#start=0:00;end=382:58;cycles=-1;autoreplay=false;showoptions=false\">you tube<\/a> &#8211; Just search words like &#8216;concentration playlist&#8217; or &#8216;studying music&#8217; to listen to free, specially set up playlists.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/songza.com\/\">Songza<\/a> &#8211; This is a &#8216;music concierge&#8217; site. There are all sorts of genres of music on here.
