{"id":135,"date":"2016-04-17T14:32:23","date_gmt":"2016-04-17T22:32:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/msyoonhmec\/?p=135"},"modified":"2016-04-17T14:32:23","modified_gmt":"2016-04-17T22:32:23","slug":"week-9","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/msyoonhmec\/2016\/04\/17\/week-9\/","title":{"rendered":"Week 9"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Going into the final week of practicum, I find myself reflecting back to my first week teaching. \u00a0It&#8217;s encouraging to think that I&#8217;ve grown and learned a lot as a teacher, but at the time this eye-opening experience showed\u00a0me that I have room to improve. \u00a0On one hand, I wish this practicum were longer so I have more chances to practice and hone various teaching skills. \u00a0However, on the other hand, these past nine weeks were exhausting, especially since we entered into it straight from full-time schooling; I could use some time to rest with the turnaround into the Community Field Experience. \u00a0Since I am in the dual degree program, the next steps are to apply for job postings as soon as my final reports are released this week!
