Multidimensional Assessment

“Assessment of student progress in Leonard’s class is multidimensional. It includes performance-based, activities, participation, tests, and activities. His evaluation strategies correspond with and relate to the planned teaching objectives.” -Dr. Neal Mutadi

Practicum Highlights: Assessment

During my time in UBC’s B.Ed program I learned there are three types of assessment-assessment for, as, and of learning. For effective teaching to take place not only do all three have to be used but they must be used meaningfully. Assessment should assist student learning, identify their strengths and weaknesses, as well as to assess and improve your own teaching strategies.
