Reflecting on Orientation – Ready, set, go!

Amazing! That’s exactly how I’d describe my first week of the 2014 MBA. Simply amazing! I think the ropes course we did on the first day basically summed up my feelings toward the program. At first I was terrified at the idea of climbing up a tree and walking across a narrow beam. But after watching others overcome their fear of heights, and with the encouragement of my classmates, I was able to conquer the high ropes course. I think this program is going to be all about being thrown out of my comfort zone. I’m going to be learning new and challenging concepts and I’ll be determined to build up the confidence necessary to tackle any problems I may face in the future. Along the way I may get lost or confused, but I know I’ll have the support and guidance of an incredible faculty and what seems to be an even more incredible cohort. I have to admit I am a little nervous about the next sixteen months but at the same time I’m very excited and eager to get started. One thing is for certain; it’s definitely going to be a positive life changing experience. Cheers!
