I included these four assignments because they are the product of some very interesting and productive class discussions. I enjoyed going through the papers/lecture material that was assigned with classmates, and the material was definitely a lot more clear after doing so.

Final Project
This final project started with the question “If I were a developmental biologist…?“. But I didn’t really like any of these questions so I tried a different question. I tried to go in this direction because I had been looking into amphibian salinity tolerance for another class and I thought I might like to go a little bit more in depth with the topic, but after a lot of searching I couldn’t come up with a good more specific question. Then I had to present a paper (I discuss it is this post about BPA) in another class that got me thinking about BPA and how it could affect the next generation/me/and other females trying to have children. Then with a little bit of searching I found that analogs of BPA have not been studied that much so I came up with my final question “Do BPA analogs have similar adverse effects as BPA on the structure and function of the developing mammalian ovary in vivo?”. I then wrote a rough draft which was peer reviewed. I then edited, added, and produced the final version.
