{"id":10,"date":"2010-09-22T22:01:16","date_gmt":"2010-09-23T06:01:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/nelson\/?p=10"},"modified":"2010-12-12T20:22:21","modified_gmt":"2010-12-13T04:22:21","slug":"10","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/nelson\/2010\/09\/22\/10\/","title":{"rendered":"ITeddy"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_12\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-12\" style=\"width: 250px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/nelson\/files\/2010\/09\/5442_iTeddy2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-12 \" title=\"5442_iTeddy\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.ubc.ca\/nelson\/files\/2010\/09\/5442_iTeddy2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"258\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-12\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">ITeddy<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Dragon\u2019s Den is one of my favourite business related reality show.\u00a0  The contestants each have their own personal business plan but lack the  cash to start their business.\u00a0 Dragons in the show are  multi-millionaires that would invest on the plan that interest them.\u00a0  One product that really caught my attention was the ITeddy, the teddy  bear of the Twentieth century.<\/p>\n<p>I am pretty sure that most  people have at least one teddy bear some point in their lifetime.\u00a0 Back  when I was a kid, the most my bear can do is talk (with the help of 4AA  batteries, of course).\u00a0 Today, kids won\u2019t be surprise that a teddy bear  is able to talk.\u00a0 The \u201cTwentieth century\u201d teddy bear a.k.a \u00a0ITeddy has a  built in media player, fun and educational games, serve as a digital  photo-frame and it even tell you a bed time story.\u00a0 ITeddy is a great  way for kids to learn technology and \u201cbe safe\u201d at the same time.\u00a0  Clearly, this product shows how technological advancement can change a  teddy bear.<\/p>\n<p>To relate this back to marketing, I think the  product include many Macro-environmental factors we talked about in  class.\u00a0 Demographically, this product\u2019s target market is for the Tweens  (the generation after ours), a group that get bored easily.\u00a0 Marketers  for this product created a website so that the ITeddy is constantly  being updated.\u00a0 Technical advancement shows that marketing is changing  quickly.
