Google or Facebook? Which one will be the dominator of the 21st century? Facebook is the king of the world for social media, and Google is the king of the world for everything else! Google has wanted to enter the social media game for years now. Google created Google plus which caught many people’s attention but unfortunately wasn’t even close to compete with Facebook. Google, knowing they can’t compete with Facebook, has decided to instead weaken Facebook’s ties with companies that make them big. Facebook counterattacks with the opening of the Facebook Question-and-Answer product. Because Facebook has 500 million users at a time they see this as an opportunity to get off the “Google training wheels” and not require Google for traffic referrals. Facebook then bought 18 social-networking patents. This strengthens the companies control in the world of social-networking. In response, Google decided to put time in new technologies and enter the android business.
In my opinion, Facebook and Google will never be able to take each other down. Facebook will always come up with new ideas and will be the Social Media kings, whilst Google, developing new strategies for increased revenue will for the most part dominate the rest of the world.
