I was hoping to leave you a comment on your beautifully written “Hockey & Hemmeroids” task, but it looks like the comments are not enabled.
For now, I’ll leave it here:
With a title like yours, how could I not stop and give it a read?!
Your post is a bit nostalgic for me because I grew up at the rink watching my brother’s hockey games. Although these items are must haves for the hockey mom, as you noted in your reflection they all point to a larger narrative of who you are as a person. Being able to relate to the experience of spending a lot of time at the rink, my thought was wow – what a prepared mama! I can’t say my mom had all of these things on hand – but that was lucky for me because it gave me the opportunity to load up on candy from the concession stand!
I really appreciate your juxtaposition with what your bag may have looked like before becoming a mom, and made me wonder what my bag will look like when I go down the same path in a couple of years. I am hoping I will be as prepared as you.
Thanks so much for sharing, I feel like your post really let me get to know you.
Thank you for reading my post! Aside from being a hockey mom, my work background has been in the corporate world. I frequently spoke at conferences, blogged and wrote articles for different trade magazines. As a result, I have taken several certificates in multimedia storytelling, content marketing and copywriting. I love words and using them to weave stories. To be both a compelling storyteller and speaker, you need to be able to connect with your audience, so I tend to be more informal and let a bit of my personality out when I write.
