Super NBA Star-Jeremy Lin

Jeremy Lin, the rising superstar of NBA. He is from a Taiwanese American pro NBA player who started this “LINsanity” over the pass week. His skills led his team, the New York Knicks into a winning streak (5 in a row). He went from being a bench player to a total super star in one short week! He is truly amazing on Friday’s game against Lakers, scoring 38 points alone and beating Kobe Bryant (34 pts). What is even better, is he is humble, giving all the glory to God and his teammates. His leadership has visibly changed his team. He would give chance equally to all that has the best shot and not make it just his solo show. This guy has got physical ability, personality, and intelligence. Truly, one worthy to be talked about and praised.

This is the reason why I stay single lol. (jk.) Seriously though. Dream guy for me. He might not have the most handsome face, but he is TOP, IDEAL, and everything a girl could wish for.

1. He’s tall, 6’3 (191 cm). Great body physique. Looks healthy.

2. He is smart.

In Harvard, Jeremy Lin lead the team to its new high

Harvard graduate majored in economics and minored in sociology. (I must admit his degree probably would not be able to get him a great job) The fact that he got into Harvard is just FANTASTIC. I mean, best university in the world! Totally a dream, a dream! He helped this school’s basketball team into a new high.

3. He is got the best personality a successful NBA player could ever have. He is humble, he loves and glorifies God, and he plays basketball because he loves it, nothing else. You can’t any “I’m a star” attitude on him, instead, you see a great player doing his best working with his teammates to win. His work ethics are unquestionable. And we can all see his hard works are paying off.

4. He is athletic. No doubt on that, he’s in NBA, being one of the best. He turns the game around. Zigzag in the zone. Just… WOW

5. (This one is my personal pride) HE IS TAIWANESE.

Jeremy Lin Scored 38 points in the game, beating Kobe

Lots of people argue that he is ONLY American. Not true. He is BORN TAIWANESE (even if he was born in US). According to law (same in every country), if your mom and/or your dad is a citizen of the country, the moment you are born, you are automatically that country’s citizen. His parents are BOTH Taiwanese. So he automatically is one. If these Taiwanese boys have no obligation to military (like people born after 1994), they would have kept their citizenship. I certainly am keeping mine, I’m a girl so I get to keep both (Canadian and Taiwanese) without any problem. So many of my boy friends here gave up their Taiwanese citizenship because of that. For them, born here or came later on, they would still say they are Taiwanese Canadian and acknowledge both as their identity. In him, I see all the Taiwanese personalities (in a larger scope, Asian traits): hard working, competitive, self-motivated, humble, etc.) SERIOUSLY… HE IS TAIWANESE. Now, I am ok with people believing he is Chinese, because, let’s be honest. Everyone in Asia are in some way related to Chinese(way back or a few generations away). Taiwanese were originally Chinese, so yeah, it’s a generalization that we don’t like, but we technically can’t say is totally wrong (but it’s still incorrect). Here, I must bring up a ridiculous post I read on how Korean are claiming he is 1/4 Korean. NO. Not acceptable. STOP! Don’t start your crap on labeling all the great people Koreans – I love you guys, but don’t do this, it’s shameless.

I now just pray to God I can get to meet (or even date) a guy half as great lol. His success story is truly inspirational. I hope he keeps on winning. Keeps on believing and never stray away from God’s will. I can see him becoming one of the best NBA player in the history. GO JEREMY LIN 🙂

Jeremy helped Knicks win 5 games in a row... here's hoping for the 6th!
