Hello!
My name is Nicole Stevens and I am a fourth year student in the Faculty of Forestry at UBC and I am studying Natural Resources Conservation. I was born and raised in the Lower Mainland and have always been in love with the mountains and oceans of BC, but I also have a love for travel and experiencing new cultures and countries, which is why I am majoring in Global Perspectives.
Travelling to new countries such as India and Nepal, both on my own and through the UBC Forestry Co-op Program, has helped me to find a passion for international development and how conservation and development go hand in hand, especially in developing countries. This is the field that I aim to pursue after my undergrad, whether that is through direct work experience or continuing with post-graduate studies.
