NWLC will be held at the UBC Linguistics department, which is located in Totem Field Studios.

Getting to Vancouver:

If you are flying, the best airport is YVR. If you are coming from Vancouver Island, you’ll need to take a ferry. Ground transportation options include train, bus (Bolt Bus, Greyhound, Quick Shuttle), and train. You can also drive – we encourage carpooling!

Getting to Totem Field Studios:

Once in Vancouver, you’ll need to either drive or take local transit to campus.

UBC has a comprehensive overview of transit available here. You can find information about transit fares at the TransLink website. The closest bus stops are: West Mall & Hawthorn Ln (C20 campus shuttle) or Wesbrook Mall at 2900 Block (lots of buses!).

If you plan to drive, note that there is no conference parking at Totem Field Studios. UBC has lots of information about parking and rates. If you are faculty at SFU or UVic, you might be able to use your parking permit at UBC – find out here!
