Dear hiring team at the CDA Human Resources,
As an ambitious and enthusiastic dental hygienist, with a passion for health and safety compliance, I was so excited to hear of this position being offered at the CDA. The needs and mission of this job position are of great interest to me; policy and practice advisory are aspects of my career that I have been focused on developing.
After a year in private practice working fulltime, the Bachelor of Dental sciences program offered at UBC was the next step to further my knowledge of my field. Biomedical ethics, policy analysis, health and safety, and epidemiology were areas of great interest that have driven me to expand beyond clinical practice.
I am cross trained in sterilization at my current practice and was passionate during the pandemic and post-pandemic regarding our office’s health and safety practices. Working as a large team of 15+ employees, teamwork and effective communication are at the forefront of our day-to-day functions.
Patient oriented care has been the core of my practice.
Recently I attended a CE course offered by the Ottawa CDA chapter and I was inspired by the talk on policy and practice management, this position would help me greatly further my passions.
I would like to thank you in advance for considering me for this position and for your time. I look forwards to hopefully working with you in the future.
Sincerely,
Olivia Fournier
