Images & Videos
There are many sources of Open Resources for images and videos, many of which have one of the Creative Commons licenses. This is only a small sample of sites.
YouTube
YouTube provides a wealth of freely accessible video media which can be downloaded and reused. Educators can also upload their own videos to share. It can be confusing for students and educators to know all the instances in which they can and cannot use digital content they find online. In the case of redistribution of YouTube video content, you should be aware of copyright issues as outlined on this page. It should be noted, in the case of re-using YouTube’s logo, for example, the company outlines specific criteria for the use of its logo.
Flickr
A rich resource of photo images both to reuse and to upload and share with others. Once again, you should review Flickr’s Community Guidelines. As with YouTube, as the original content owner you can determine how much or how little you will allow others to use your material. Before you download images, review their copyright information. In many instances you are allowed to use images but are only required to give attribution to photographer.
Vimeo
Vimeo, another source for videos also has its terms of usage as well.
