I&#8217;m going to take a big leap and assume that we already have a lot in common. Are you a MLIS or MLS student? Are you enrolled in a social media class? Me too!<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m a MLIS student studying at the University of British Columbia. I am one of the many Americans who have invaded UBC for the lower tuition and healthcare. I had only lived in Washington state until I came up to Vancouver in September of &#8217;13.<\/p>\n<p><em>Will I stay in Canada?<\/em> probably not<\/p>\n<p><em>Do I like poutine?<\/em> that would be a resounding yes<\/p>\n<p>Favorite Canadaianism? hooped<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m trying to focus my studies towards academic librarianship and management, but I&#8217;m also open to just finding employment once I graduate (in August).<\/p>\n<p><strong>My Background<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BA in International Political Economy from the University of Puget Sound<\/li>\n<li>Minored in Business (couldn&#8217;t handle the 7 am law class to finish the double)<\/li>\n<li>Former Credit Union Employee<\/li>\n<li>Co-op at UBC Education Library in Reference &amp; Instruction<\/li>\n<li>High School Speech &amp; Debate Coach<\/li>\n<li>Eerily good at skee ball and other carnival games<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0This is my favorite favourite\u00a0cross stitch My name is Paige Stewart.
