Sweden government change the hours of working time from 8 hours to 6 hours. In my classmate Judy’s blog “SHOULD CANADIAN COMPANIES ENFORCE THIS?“, she believes that Canada should follow the new rules that happened in Sweden. Judy thinks that it will help the companies to decrease the turn over rate because the employees are under less stress.  She believes it will even increase productivity because people don’t dread coming and staying at work for so long.

I totally agree with her opinion that Canadian government should follow the decreasing working hours rule that happened in Sweden. It will decrease the unemployment rate, because companies will hire more people to increase the total working. Moreover, short hour lifestyles allows people to do the things that they are interested, and engage in the activities that are healthier and meaningful. This is needed for the rich countries where material needs can be met for everyone.Canada is one of the rich countries, and most people in Canada values time more than money, so it is beneficial for them if the working hours is decreased.
