Purpose of this study:
The purpose of this study is to collect information on 2SLGBTQI+ people’s thoughts, behaviours and feelings with regards to their development and aging in everyday life. This information will contribute to a deeper, more complete understanding of how 2SLGBTQI+ people feel and think about the activities they engage in and how this relates to their wellbeing across different life phases.
Who can take part?
2SLGBTQI+ people aged 50 or older who live in Canada.
What’s involved?
The study largely consists of two questionnaires: a baseline assessment and 2-week daily evening assessments
- A baseline assessment: You will be first asked to complete a 45-minute online questionnaire asking questions about your background, personality, social relationships, beliefs, and wellbeing.
- 2-week daily evening assessments: Then, for 2 weeks, we will ask you to complete a 20-minute questionnaire in the evening. These evening questionnaires will ask you questions about your current context, your thoughts and how you are feeling, your everyday activities and social interactions.
What’s in it for you?
Should you decide to participate, you will receive a Loblaws gift card as a token of appreciation: $10 for completing the first questionnaire, another $40 for completing at least 80% of the daily diary questionnaires, resulting in up to $50. The gift card will be sent to you at the end of the study.
