These foundational steps are critical to provide stability for the web. In the same sense, prior knowledge and skills I have gained help to ground the new knowledge I’ve gained through the MET program.

The initial “bridge thread” of the web metaphor is equivalent  to  basic reading and writing, and communication skills. Without this thread, the web can not be constructed.  Further education, skills gained from life and work experience serve to “frame” the web structure.

The MET program admission requirements, are a way to ensure that the frame of the web is anchored and stable enough to support the learning that takes place throughout the program.

My Prior Knowledge/Experience

I have a substantial experience in the education and training fields, in varying capacities ranging from teaching, to educational technology implementation, for over 20 years. My work experience in providing education support, from creating educational materials, to implementing technological solutions to teaching and learning was the reason I became interesting in pursuing a formal education in this area.
