- Native across the northern hemisphere. Chinese version is pictured (more upright and open than North American goat’s beard).

- Tri-pinnately compound leaves give a fern-like appearance.
- Strands of off-white inflorescence stretching up to 1.5 m high. Good flower life.
- Very tolerant plant. Full sun to part shade (will be more relaxed in shade). Tolerant of drought and wet conditions.
- Great addition to a woodland garden. Pairs nicely with ferns.
