- Delicate looking, finely textured plant. Single, silky, bright orange, cup-shaped flowers. Fused calyx.
- Flowers for 1.5 months in early summer.
- Full sun. Prefers poor soil and heat. Drought tolerant. Doesn’t outcompete grasses.
- Ideal location is a sunny slope. Works well as an early summer massing, or as part of a wildflower mix. Good choice for a brownfield site.
