  • Inflorescence 10-20 cm across, with bright yellow rays, and a large dark centre. Large, coarse ovate leaves.
  • Grown for flowers rather than food, though seeds will be produced that can be replanted.
  • Full sun, drought tolerant (due to a very deep tap root)
  • Sunflower pollen proven to have health benefits for bees.
  • Seeds very popular with birds. Excellent way to attract attractive bids, such as goldfinches.
  • Height is difficult to work with, but a great plant for areas with lots of kids around. Specimen. Makes a high impact massing.
