In second year a 1.5 m spire covered with bell shaped flowers emerges. Flowers range from white to purple, and have spotted nectar guides.<\/li>\n<li>Poisonous. Foxglove contains a powerful heart stimulant used in the drug Digitalis.<\/li>\n<li>Self-seeding. Will usually spread itself around a garden, but is easy to remove from unwanted locations.<\/li>\n<li>Good bumblebee plant.<\/li>\n<li>Quintessential cottage garden flower. Excellent for the back of a border. Provides nice vertical accents.
