Over 2 m tall (though smaller selections are available)<\/li>\n<li>Inflorescence 10-20 cm across, with bright yellow rays, and a large dark centre. Large, coarse ovate leaves.<\/li>\n<li>Grown for flowers rather than food, though seeds will be produced that can be replanted.<\/li>\n<li>Full sun, drought tolerant (due to a very deep tap root)<\/li>\n<li>Sunflower pollen proven to have health benefits for bees.<\/li>\n<li>Seeds very popular with birds. Excellent way to attract attractive bids, such as goldfinches.<\/li>\n<li>Height is difficult to work with, but a great plant for areas with lots of kids around. Specimen.
