#FirstWorldProblems
Canadian Thanksgiving is a holiday where we can reflect upon the things in our lives that make us grateful for the desirable social and economic circumstances in which we live. Today is a bright, beautiful, sunny fall day. But due to a plethora of exams next week, I am stuck inside studying… At first I was feeling sorry for myself, but then I realized how I am essentially complaining about a #firstworldproblem. Many people in Canada and around the world would be thrilled to be given the educational opportunities I have been given. It seems like a moral obligation to try and make the most of my education. Last night, one of my friends shared this ad on Facebook (yes, I took a short study break).

This ad was created by DDB and is the subject of a great Business Insider article. The creative concept behind this advertisement is brilliant. All of our so called #firstworldproblems are insignificant when compared to the actual life and death struggles endured by people living in developing nations. Clean water is a basic building block for any healthy life or society. A lack of clean water is a #realproblem. Look for this video to become the next viral advertisement.
