Definition Assignment

This assignment was designed to allow students to practice defining terms at varying levels of complexity in order to determine which definition best suits a situation. Here, I defined the word “polyploidy” with increasing levels of complexity as a parenthetical, sentence, and expanded definition.

Peer Review of Nicholas’ Definitions

This assignment allowed us to peer review a team member’s definition assignment. Here, I peer reviewed my team member, Nicholas’ definitions of “bridge financing”. This assignment allowed me to give and receive constructive feedback

Formal Report Proposal, Progress Report, and Surveys

This assignment allowed students to construct a proposal and update their peers on the status of their formal report. This assignment was extremely helpful in keeping the progress on my formal report on track and allowed me to build upon suggestions provided to me by Dr. Paterson and my peers.

You-Attitude Memorandum

This assignments demonstrates the importance of writing with You-attitude. Here, I wrote an email to a colleague outlining the best practices to follow when emailing a professor. Learning to write proper and professional emails are an essential part to any working professional.

Formal Report Final Draft

This assignment was written based on the culmination of all the skills I have learnt in this class. The topic of this report stemmed from my place of work, where I noticed a decline in student registrations. As a solution, I proposed that we increase our social media presence to draw in more students. In this report, I investigate the benefits to social media marketing and constructed a feasible long term social media action plan.
