Despite the hesitation of some, a few forward thinking Canadian broadcaster decided to give podcasting a try as early as 2005:

☆  The Canadian Public Broadcasting Corporation launched it’s first podcast, Quirks and Quarks, on March 8, 2005.

☆  The Sports Network launched its podcast node on October 3, 2005, and launched the “Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie“and “McGuires Monsters” podcasts.

☆  Global Television launched its pilot podcast, “Katherine’s Kuts with Katherine Monk,” on April 21, 2006.

☆  The Toronto Star newspaper launched a handful of podcasts in May 2006, including “Auto Racing with Norris McDonald”, “Clean Break with Tyler Hamilton”, “Ellie Advice fro Ellie Taylor,” plus a “Special Features” podcast.
