This blog will primarily focus on reflecting on the process of creating my web folio.
While learning about how to create an effective web folio, I found the overall concept of it quite captivating. Before this assignment, I was unaware of the existence of web folio’s and how useful they could be for someone with any background. A web folio is unique to an individual and a convenient place for someone to showcase themselves.
For this assignment, I decided to create a separate blog from the one originally used for the course to keep things organized. I have created blogs in the past for other purposes but never a web folio so the process was quite enjoyable for me overall. I aimed to create a background theme that most resonated with my degree – neuroscience. Therefore, my background picture is an abstract visual of a brain. I also added a short slogan, “be mindful”, under my web folio’s title to tie my overall theme together. I believe by adding these small details, I was able to attain a professional yet creative theme.
Many resourceful technical skills, such as creating hyperlinks, were also acquired throughout this assignment which is appreciated. When revising each assignment again, I realized how far my writing skills have come. I have improved immensely throughout this course and am actually proud of myself!
