Growing up in Kelowna, David participated in an array of sports including soccer, hockey, basketball, football and track and field. He competed for Kelowna United of the B.C Premier Soccer League until the age of 18 when a chronic knee injury forced him to the sidelines. While he continues to play at a recreational level, David\u2019s focus has shifted to coaching the next generation of young soccer players in the valley.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #e0bb00;\">While his primary focus at Temple Gym is training young athletes, David also offers personal training sessions to all gym members.David\u2019s passion for physical fitness led him to study Human Kinetics at the University of British Columbia. After earning his MSc in Exercise Physiology, David returned to the Okanagan to pursue a career in the fitness industry. He continues to improve his qualifications as a strength and conditioning specialist, making him an invaluable member of our team. By combining knowledge gained in the classroom with years of practical experience, David has become an industry leader in the field of physical fitness. Since that time, he has gone on to do a postgraduate masters program in Clinical Exercise Physiology. He is also certified with ACSM, NCCP and has his CPR Level HCP. While education has played a large role in Ian\u2019s life, his true passion has always been in outdoor sports, more specifically, ski racing. He spent 10 years racing on the Canadian National Ski Cross Team, where he competed across the globe at the World Cup and Olympic levels. After his skiing career, Ian got certified in CSCF Level 4, which is the highest certification for ski coaching.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #e0bb00;\">With the experience and education obtained, Ian is a vital addition to our facility where he coaches and trains elite level athletes to perform on the world\u2019s biggest stages. He is currently working with Professional, National and Provincial level athletes in various sports. In addition to a BSc in Human Kinetics, he also has an MSc of Physiotherapy from UBC. Driven for a passion of sports, he grew up playing a variety of sports. With a focus on basketball, his other sports include: tennis, swimming, baseball, volleyball, and boxing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #e0bb00;\">Dax\u2019s main focus is in developing and coaching younger athletes and people into healthy, motivated and driven adults. He currently trains at Temple Gym in the personal training section with a focus on Olympic and Compound lifts.
