I focus on Vancouver&#8217;s Gay Alliance Towards Equality (GATE) as an example of a gay activist group. The first section of the blog is dedicated to GATE, (use the tabs to the right of the &#8220;Home&#8221; tab to navigate), the second section examines <em>heterosexism<\/em>, the prevalent force in society that GATE faces off\u00a0against, and a specific case, the\u00a0<em>Gay Tide\u00a0<\/em>Case, as an example of how these two entities clashed on the battlefield of Canadian law.
