Pre-Observation Meetings

The pre-observation meeting serves multiple purposes in the peer review of teaching. As you read in the process overview section, the pre-observation meeting allows the reviewer and reviewees to build rapport, discuss the reviewee’s goals, and agree on some logistical aspects of the process.

For this activity, I invite you to watch one or both of the pre-observation meeting videos and comment on what you think works well in the interaction, and on what could be done differently.  (Estimated time to complete activity: 10 minutes if you decide to watch and comment on 1 video; 20 minutes total if you decide to watch and comment on both videos).
