Reflection on Creating a Web Folio

The process of creating a Web Folio was significantly more challenging and time consuming than I had originally expected. However, the experience was very rewarding and enjoyable as I now have a platform where I can showcase my skills and abilities. I decided to use my ENGL 301 UBC Blogs site to build my Web Folio as I already had a suitable amount of content to start with.

The most challenging part in creating my Web Folio was finding appropriate content to include such as images and hyperlinks as well as introducing and describing each section of my Web Folio in a friendly and professional manner, such as the Application Package, Best Works, etc. A significant amount of time was also spent on editing previous reflections and assignments to perfection, although the peer reviews and the instructor’s feedback were extremely helpful in the process.

This Web Folio is the first professional webpage I have created and I am very proud of my accomplishment. I plan to use my Web Folio in the future when seeking employment and I hope that employers and recruiters feel welcomed and invited while exploring my profile.
