Chinese phone manufacturer OnePlus is one of the many selling high-end smartphones at comparatively low prices. The OnePlus One released in the April of 2014 and the OnePlus two released in the August of 2015. The most unique part of the product is that, even though the price is low, not everyone and anyone can buy the phone. The mobile phone can only be purchased by a person who has an invite for it.

The company doesn’t do any marketing for the product. This saves them a lot of money as well. They believe their products to be enough to do the marketing part for them. The fact that only an invitee can buy a phone takes the company a class apart from the regular brand names like Apple and Samsung. The company was able to sell 900,000 units last year which isn’t much as compared to the big brands but if one takes into account that every person who was invited to buy the phone purchased it, 900,000 becomes a fairly big number.

The price of a 64 GB OnePlus One is $ 349 and for a 64 GB OnePlus Two the price is $ 479 whereas a 64 GB iPhone 6 costs $769. The low price does attract many buyers but the invite restriction only allows a lucky few to get a phone from the OnePlus Company.
