1.Self-concept and self-presentation<\/b> (e.g.,\u00a0what is the authentic self? how “real” or accurate is what people\u00a0put online?)<\/p>\n
2.Self-esteem and social comparison<\/b> (e.g.,\u00a0how does other’s feedback affect the Self? how does what others put online affect how people\u00a0feel about themselves?)<\/p>\n
3.Motivation<\/b> (e.g., what motivates people to use social media? how does\u00a0social media promote\/affect collective action?)<\/p>\n
4.Personality<\/b> (e.g., what are the personality traits of different\u00a0social media users? can social media use influence\u00a0people’s personality?)<\/p>\n
5.Development<\/b> (e.g., how does what people “author” about themselves\u00a0on social media impact their Self over time? How might\u00a0social media impact the Self of people\u00a0who are growing up with it from birth?)<\/p>\n
6.Relationships<\/b> (e.g.,\u00a0does social media such as Tindr change or mirror dating culture? how does broadcasting aspects of relationships on social media\u00a0affect the\u00a0Self-actors<\/i>\u00a0in that\u00a0relationship? does the ubiquity of\u00a0social media change the way we interact with each other? if\u00a0online vs face to face first impressions differ, does that impact the relationship? what aspects of Self lead to\/affected by\u00a0one-sided relationships like following celebrities on Twitter?)<\/p>\n
